The Lake of Pomacochas (Laguna de Pomacochas) is a mountain lake near Pomacochas in the province of Bongará in the northern Peruvian Andes .
It lies at an altitude of 2150 m , covers an area of about 4 km² with a shore length of 8.8 km. It is believed that it reaches a depth of up to 80 meters at its deepest point. The water of Lake Pomacochas is blue-green. In addition to archaeological sites in the vicinity of the lake, flora and fauna are particularly interesting.
The lake can be explored in detail with rowing boats and motor boats, which can be hired in Pomacochas, the district capital of the Florida district .
