Seestrasse 12 (Stralsund)
The house with the postal address Seestraße 12 is a listed building in the Hanseatic city of Stralsund on Seestraße .
The two-storey red brick building was built in 1900 on the banks of the Strelasund . The facade has segmented arched windows and a surrounding ornamental frieze . On the narrow sides, gables with pillar-like structures can be seen.
It was used as a sewage treatment plant until 1963 . In 1980, the interior was expanded and from then on it was used as a repair base for Soviet hydrofoils . Together with the neighboring house at Seestraße 10 , it has been used as a hotel since a renovation .
The house is located in the core area of the city area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 704.
