The Seewaldseen in Horrheim , consisting of the Upper Seewaldsee and the Lower Seewaldsee , are the only bathing lakes in the Ludwigsburg district in Baden-Württemberg .
use
Both lakes are used as bathing lakes during the summer. The Upper Seewaldsee is nudist Friendly, Lower Seewaldsee is bathed dressed. The lakes are also fished, which is problematic during the bathing season due to the large number of bathers and the size of the lakes. There is also a children's playground and barbecue facilities in the immediate vicinity of the lakes.
Water quality
The district health department is responsible for monitoring the water quality of the two lakes. According to the state's bathing water ordinance, the lakes must be checked once before and five times during the bathing season. There has always been the best rating in recent years (as of March 2013), i.e. the two lakes are of excellent quality and are well suited for swimming .
