Seer Çakır

Seher Çakır (* 1971 in Istanbul , Turkey ) is a poet and narrator of Turkish origin who lives in Austria and works in German .

Çakır, who has lived in Vienna since 1983 , published her first lyric texts in the bilingual (German / Turkish) magazine Öneri . In the anthologies Die Fremde in mir (1999) and Your language is not my language (2002), short stories by the author appeared.

The National Library of German-Language Poetry in Munich included Çakır in its publication Selected Works VI (2003).

2005 winner of the literary competition “Writing Between Cultures”. Publication of the short story in the anthology “Wortstürmer”, Verlag Exil, Vienna

2007/2008 scholarship from Wiener Wortstätten, play: Sevim and Savaş

In 2008/2009 she received the Austrian State Scholarship for Literature
