Seiji Ueda
Seiji Ueda ( Japanese 上 田 清 二 , Ueda Seiji , * 1952 ) is a Japanese astronomer .
In the period from 1987 to 2000, Seiji Ueda and his colleague Hiroshi Kaneda discovered 705 asteroids . In 2016, both were number 23 on the list of the most successful asteroid discoverers.
Ueda has an MD and Ph.D. from Stanford University and is a member of the group at Sōgō Kenkyū Daigakuin Daigaku (English Graduate University for Advanced Studies ) in Japan.
The asteroid (4676) Uedaseiji is named after him.
