A Sekundærrute ( Pl. : Sekundærruter , dt. : Secondary route ) is one with a identification number provided highway in Denmark . Secondary routes connect smaller cities and the primary routes .

Secondary routes are marked with white signs (primary routes are yellow) and are numbered with three digits. In metropolitan areas, the ring roads ( ringvej in Danish ) also have the status of secondary routes , they are signposted as O1, O2 etc.

There are currently a total of 152 routes with secondary route numbering in Denmark. The lowest number assigned is 150, the highest 597 (as of September 2011). Individual sections can be developed as a motorway .
