The motor ring 3 is a ring road in the north-west of Copenhagen . It forms a half-ring and provides a connection from the Køge Bugt Motorvejen to Helsingørmotorvejen . It is also used by commuters as an important axis in Copenhagen and is the busiest road in Denmark with around 75,000 vehicles a day. It is part of the full length of the M3 and the European routes E47 and E55 .

State of development

The motorway was expanded to three lanes from MK Kongens Lyngby to MK Brøndby by 2010.

history

The road was built in seven stages between 1966 and 1980, mostly with two lanes, although the plans go back much further.
