Selda Akhan

Selda Akhan (* 1969 in Cologne ) is a German-Turkish actress and director.

Life

She attended school in Cologne and Izmir . This was followed by studying drama and theater studies as well as music from 1988 to 1994 at the Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir. Afterwards she had engagements at the Turkish State Theater and several appearances on Turkish television. In 1988 she took on a role in the movie "Yolcu" and from 1990 to 1994 the lead role in the children's series "Biz Arkadasuz (We Are Friends)".

In addition, she had freelance engagements as an actress in various youth and children's theaters, e.g. B. at ComicOn (Cologne), Zartbitter (Düsseldorf) and in the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. Since 1999 she has been working as a theater lecturer for the Open Jazzhaus School in Cologne . In the independent scene, she works as a director and assistant director for, among others, Theater Deepot, Free Theater, Immigranten Stadl . She is co-founder of the Immisitzung, is the director of production and directing from 2009 to 2011. She lives in her hometown and works as a freelance actress for theater and television.

Work

  • Selda Akhan was a founding member of Theater Türkis in 2000. With the play "Weiss du !?" they were a guest on the WDR show "Nachtschlag" and received several awards. Furthermore, the piece "Till Eulenspiegel and Nasrettin Hodscha" was realized.
  • In 2005 she founded "Harem Globetrotters" with Beate Bohr , with whom she still performs the program today. She also had TV appearances in Germany and was, for example, a guest on the show Mitternachtsspitzen on WDR in 2007 .
  • She was on the road with the program "My Big Cheeky Turkish Family" with Robert Tino Selbach , Moritz Netenjakob , Hülya Dogan Netenjakob , Serhat Doğan and Wilhelm Künsting.
