Selliner See

The Selliner See is located southeast of the village of the same name Sellin on the island of Rügen in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). The lagoon-like bay has a connection to Having , a bay of the Rügischer Bodden , via the Baaber Bek . The water is not very salty.

The lake has a length of around 1.8 kilometers and a width of 0.85 kilometers. The Sellin district of Altensien is located on the west bank, in the Neuensiener and Selliner See nature reserve . Federal road 196 runs north and east of the lake . The legendary Ritterstein lies on the eastern shore of the lake .

Several trenches serve as tributaries, u. a. the monk's pit .
