The Rügische Bodden

The Rügische Bodden is the part of the Greifswalder Bodden , a lagoon in the Baltic Sea , which borders the island of Rügen . It is located southeast of the island of Rügen between Mönchgut and the Zudar peninsula . Several headlands protrude from the Mönchgut, such as the Reddevitz peninsula , the Kleiner and Großer Zicker in the Bodden . The bay between Rügen and the Reddevitzer Höft is called Having , and the Hagensche Wiek is located between the Reddevitz peninsula and the Großer Zicker . Other bays are the Schoritzer Wiek , the Selliner See and the Neuensiener See . A border in the south would be the line between the headlands of the Zudar peninsula and the Mönchgut peninsula. There are ports in Lauterbach , Baabe and Seedorf .

The Bodden is part of the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve .

In the northern part of the Bodden, in front of Lauterbach, lies the island of Vilm .
