Selva Almada
Selva Almada (born April 5, 1973 in Villa Elisa , Entre Ríos ) is an Argentine writer.
Life
Selva Almada grew up in a small town in the Chaco . In 1991 she went to study sociology and literary studies in the provincial capital Paraná . In 2000 she moved to Buenos Aires . In 2007 her volume of short stories was published under the programmatic title Una chica de provincia . Almada writes poetry, short stories and novels. For her documentation Chicas muertas she received a grant from the Argentine National Foundation for Art (FNA).
