Kleistau is a district of the municipality of Dehre in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The Altmark Roundabout village Klei storage is located three kilometers northwest of Dähre on Grabower trench in the Salzwedel Dumme flows.

history

In 1443 the village is mentioned as villa Klestene in a document, in which Bishop Johann von Verden confirms its possessions to the Dähre provost .

Before 1477 the village belonged to the von dem Knesebeck family of Langenapel. After divisions in the family in 1608 it belonged in parts from the Knesebeck to Langenapel and from the Knesebeck to Wittingen. In 1686 the village belonged to the Langenapel rule.

On October 3, 1961, a family from Kleistau was forcibly resettled to another area in the Magdeburg district . This also happened in many neighboring villages in the former border area.

Incorporations

On April 1, 1939, the community of Kleistau from the district of Salzwedel was incorporated into the community of Dehre .
