Location of Hohendolsleben in Saxony-Anhalt

Hohendolsleben is a district of the community Dehre in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The Altmark village Hohendolsleben located about two kilometers north of Dähre. According to the type of settlement, the place is a round square village with a church.

history

The village was a planned circular structure that was later changed and expanded to the east.

The historian Peter P. Rohrlach cites the first reliable mention of Hohendolsleben in the mention of Honlege in 1235 in a document from the Bishop of Halberstadt about the building of a church. He writes: "Older documents cannot always be clearly distinguished between Hohen- and Siedendolsleben". Until 1278 Hondolslege belongs to those of Dorstadt, who in 1278 sold their goods in Hohendolsleben to the Diesdorf monastery. In 1367 the place was called a Slavic village ( villa slavicalis ). In 1458 dath dorp Hogendolschleue had a mill. Further mentions are 1551 Hohen Dalschlewe , 1608 Hohen Dolschleue and 1687 Hohen Dolschleben .

During the land reform in 1945, the following were determined: 19 properties under 100 hectares totaled 347 hectares, the church owned 1.6 hectares of land.

Incorporations

On July 1, 1950, the communities of Hohendolsleben and Siedendolsleben from the Salzwedel district were merged to form the new community of Dolsleben. Hohendolsleben and Siedendolsleben were continued as districts in the new municipality. The seat of the community was in Siedendolsleben.

On 1 January 1992 the church was Dolsleben in the community Dähre incorporated. The district of Hohendolsleben thus became a district of Dehre.
