Rustenbeck is a part of the municipality of Dehre in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The round village of Rustenbeck is located five kilometers west of Dehre in the northern part of the Altmark and around 16 kilometers northeast of the Lower Saxon town of Wittingen . The state border between Saxony-Anhalt and Lower Saxony is around seven kilometers away . In the south of the village is the 75 meter high Mühlenberg.

history

The first mention of the village is from 1350, when the family of the Knesebeck the monastery Diesdorf totam villam Slauicalem Rustenbeke sell. In the Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg from 1375 the place is listed as Rustenbeke , which belongs to the Diesdorf monastery. A church was mentioned in 1551, and in 1721 the church lay desolate. In 1775 the village no longer had a church.

A brickworks north-east of the village was mentioned as early as the 19th century. Today the Lerchental farm is located near the ponds .

The disused Salzwedel – Diesdorf railway ran east of the village .

Incorporations

On July 1, 1950, Rustenbeck and Winkelstedt were incorporated into the Bonese community .

By a non amendment agreement, the municipal councils of the municipalities Bonese (5 May 2008) decided Dähre (5 May 2008) and location village (8 May 2008) that their communities and added to a new community named Dähre be united . This contract was approved by the county as the lower local supervisory authority and came into effect on January 1, 2009.

Rustenbeck thus came to Dehre on January 1, 2009 as a district.
