Wendischhorst is a district of the municipality of Dehre in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .

The Altmark Wendisch Horst Located two kilometers northwest of Dähre and about 18 kilometers west of the district town of Salzwedel on Grabower trench in the Salzwedel Dumme flows.

history

Wendisch Horst is the first time in 1366 as the Horst uth along with de Stenlake mentioned (block layer), as Paridam from Knesebeck the monastery This village gives elevations (income) from the site. In the Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg from 1375 the place is listed as Horst, alio nomine dicta Steynlage . In 1458 a mill in Wendesche Horst is mentioned, the village is uninhabited (deserted). All that remains of the medieval village to this day is an outbuilding with a single settlement.

Incorporations

On October 1, 1912, the Wendischhorst manor district was united with the rural community of Dehre, making it a part of the community.
