geography

The Altmark village Siedendolsleben, a dead-end village with church, situated two kilometers northeast of Dähre at the Salzwedel Dumme .

history

In 1306 the village was first mentioned in a document as the Dhudeschen Dulslege (German Dolslegen) when Burchhard von Wallstawe donated the tithes of some shares in the village to the Diesdorf monastery . The other shares were donated by von dem Knesebeck to the Diesdorf monastery in 1395 .

Older evidence cannot always clearly differentiate between Hohen- and Siedendolsleben.

Before 1443, the Dähre Propstei owned a farm. The watermill in the south of the village an der Dumme was mentioned in 1458. From 1449 until after 1598 the von Jagow had shares in the village that were lent to Krateke (Kratke).

Incorporations

On July 1, 1950, the communities of Hohendolsleben and Siedendolsleben from the Salzwedel district were merged to form the new community of Dolsleben. Hohendolsleben and Siedendolsleben were continued as districts in the new municipality. The seat of the community was in Siedendolsleben.

On 1 January 1992 the church was Dolsleben in the community Dähre incorporated. The district Siedendolsleben thus became a district of Dehre.
