Christophe Panzani (born December 23, 1975 in La Tronche ) is a French jazz musician ( saxophone , flute , composition ).

Live and act

Panzani has been working with Carla Bley since 2002 , with whose big band the first recordings were made in 2006 in Paris ( Appearing Nightly ), and with Anne Paceo , Fabio Accardi, Olivier Calmel , Laia Genc , Nicolas Moreaux , Florian Pellissier , Bruno Schorp , Rémi Vignolo , Ritary Gaguenetti and Gauthier Toux. He is a founding member of three groups in the Paris underground: The Drops , with Italian guitarist Federico Casagrande (three albums released); Thiefs , a jazz hip-hop project (which he directs with American bassist Keith Witty) and The Watershed (with Pierre Perchaud , Tony Paeleman and Karl Jannuska ).

In 2016, Panzani released the album Les âmes perdues under his own name , which was created in duo sessions with pianists Yonathan Avishai , Édouard Ferlet , Laia Genc, Leonardo Montan , Tony Paeleman, Guillaume Poncelet and Dan Tepfer . In the field of jazz, he was involved in nine recording sessions between 2006 and 2016.
