Rémi Vignolo

Rémi Vignolo (* 1972 ) is a French jazz musician ( double bass , drums ).

Vignolo discovered the electric bass at the age of six ; first on this instrument and then on the double bass, he received his first engagements in local clubs. After studying music at the New Scholl in New York, he performed between 1993 and 1995 with Uri Caine , Ravi Coltrane , Mark Turner and Gerry Gibbs . Since returning to France in the 1990s, he has been a member of André Ceccarelli's quartet . He also worked with Eric Le Lann , Richard Galliano , Michel Legrand , Sylvain Luc , Stefano Di Battista , John McLaughlin , Louis Winsberg , Erik Truffaz , Toots Thielemans and Jacky Terrasson . Since 2003 he has been part of the trio of Florian Ross and the Rosario Giuliani Quintet and has played in various projects with Aldo Romano (including Chante ) and Pierre-Alain Goualch .

In 2015 his debut album Death of an Angry Man was released . Tom Lord recorded 41 recordings between 1993 and 2010; he can also be heard on albums by Stéphane Huchard , Charles Aznavour , Claude Nougaro , Charlie Watts and Rose .
