Rosario Giuliani (* 1967 in Terracina , Lazio ) is an Italian jazz - saxophonist (alto and soprano saxophone) of hard bop .

Rosario Giuliani began his musician career in 1987 after graduating from the Licinio Refice Conservatory in Frosinone . In 1989 he was a member of the festival band organized by Berklee College of Music at the Umbria Jazz jazz festival . In 1990 he played in the RAI Radio Orchestra under the direction of James Newton Howard. He also worked with Ennio Morricone , Luis Bacalov , Armando Trovajoli , Nicola Piovani and Riz Ortolani .

In 1996 he won the “ Massimo Urbani ” award. In 2000 he recorded his debut album Luggage on the French label Dreyfus Jazz . In 2005 he worked on the album Land of the Sun by Charlie Haden and Gonzalo Rubalcaba ; In 2006 he went on a tour of China. In his other productions for Dreyfus Jazz he worked a. a. with Jean-Michel Pilc and Richard Galliano .

Giuliani has also worked with Kenny Wheeler , Randy Brecker , Bob Mintzer , Cedar Walton , Phil Woods , Cameron Brown , Joe Locke , Donald Harrison , in Italy with Enrico Rava , Maurizio Giammarco , Tullio De Piscopo , Franco D'Andrea , Giovanni Tommaso , Enrico Pieranunzi , Dado Moroni and Flavio Boltro .
