Pierre Perchaud

Pierre Perchaud (* 1981 ) is a French jazz guitarist and banjo player .

Live and act

Perchaud comes from a family of musicians and grew up in the Charente department ; at the age of six he learned to play the guitar . First he attended the Conservatory of Angoulême (diploma 1999) and continued his studies with Alberto Ponce at the CNR La Courneuve . He also took lessons from Didier Lockwood after turning to jazz . Since the 2000s he has worked a. a. with Christophe Wallemme , Karl Jannuska , Chris Jennings , Leon Parker , Stéphane Guillaume , Nicolas Moreaux, Anne Paceo , Amy Gamlen and Emile Parisien . In 2009 he became a member of the Orchester National de Jazz under the direction of Daniel Yvinec , a. a. heard on the ONJ albums Around Robert Wyatt , Shut Up and Dance , Piazzolla! and The Party In the field of jazz, he was involved in 17 recording sessions between 2003 and 2013, including with Rémi Vignolo . In Germany in 2014 he appeared in the Franco-Allemand quartet with Sebastian Sternal , David Helm and Nicholas Charlier . In the group The Watershed he worked with Christophe Panzani , Tony Paeleman and Karl Jannuska.
