Location of Lagendorf in Saxony-Anhalt

Lagendorf is a part of the municipality of Dehre in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The Altmark Lagendorf, a street village with a church, is five kilometers northwest of Dehre on Grabower Graben, which flows into the Salzwedeler Dumme .

history

In 1292 the village was first mentioned as villa Lagendorf in a document when von Berhard, Count von Dannenberg, announced a donation to the Heilig-Heist-Kloster zu Salzwedel. The two documents from the year 1022 Latondorp and Latendorp are considered forgeries.

Before 1366, parts of the village belonged to those of the Knesebeck , who ceded these parts to the Diesdorf monastery in 1366 and 1369 . Until 1493, Dorheide, pastor in the old town of Salzwedel, had rights to funds in the village that were transferred to the Elisabeth Hospital in the new town of Salzwedel.

To the west of the village on a mountain behind the cemetery was a windmill .

Incorporations

On July 1, 1950, the previously independent municipality of Dahrendorf was incorporated into the municipality of Lagendorf from the Salzwedel district . On January 1, 1991, the municipality of Holzhausen with its districts of Markau , Schmölau and Wiewohl was incorporated into the municipality of Lagendorf. Also on January 1, 1991, the district of Kortenbeck was reclassified from the municipality of Barnebeck to Lagendorf.

The municipal councils of the municipalities of Bonese (on May 5, 2008), Dehre (on May 5, 2008) and Lagendorf (on May 8, 2008) decided by means of a territorial change agreement that their municipalities would be dissolved and merged into a new municipality called Dehre . This contract was approved by the county as the lower local supervisory authority and came into effect on January 1, 2009.

On January 1st, 2009 the districts of Lagendorf, Dahrendorf, Holzhausen, Kortenbeck, Markau, Schmölau and Wiewohl became part of the new municipality of Dehre.
