Selwyn Lake is a lake on the border between the Northwest Territories and Saskatchewan Province in Canada .
The water area is 593 km², the total area including islands 717 km². It lies at an altitude of 398 m . The lake is drained via the Chipman River to Black Lake, 50 km south . A Portage connection leads to Wholdaia Lake in the north, in the Hudson Bay catchment area .
