Sen Svaja (from Old Prussian : sen swajjais - 'with those we know') is a Lithuanian experimental post folk and world music group from Vilnius founded in 2010 .

history

The female band (as of 2020) consists of Dorotė Girskienė (vocals, percussion), Justina Kaminskaitė (vocals, percussion) and Agota Zdanavičiūtė (vocals, zither, percussion). Her musical project consists of combining old Lithuanian folk songs and international folk music, including South Slavic traditions, into her sound.

Her debut album Laumių lopšinė ( Eng : "Lullaby of the Fairies") was dedicated to the later head of the Romuva religious community , Jonas Trinkūnas, which is recognized in Lithuania . Her song Aš atsikėliau was included in the compilation of the Lithuanian Music Information Center “Note Lithuania: Folk / World 2018”.

Her second studio album Kraitis iš pelkės ( Eng .: 'Dowry from the Swamp') was released in 2018 and its premiere concert took place on May 18, 2018 in the Vingis Park in the Lithuanian capital, which is known for its events .
