Sen o przyszłości [ ˈsɛn ˈɔ pʐɨʂˈwɔɕt̠͡ɕi ] (Eng. Dream of the future ) is the second studio album by Polish pop singer Sylwia Grzeszczak . The album was released on October 11, 2011 by EMI Music Poland .
Recording and production
The album was recorded in Budapest ( Hungary ) in September 2011 . During the recording in Budapest, Grzeszczak published two videos of the recordings in the recording studio on YouTube . The album was produced by Viktor Rakonczai, Sylwia Grzeszczak, Bartosz Zielony and Kuba Mańkowski.
Singles
In an interview with Interia.pl, Grzeszczak talked about the titles in the album.
“Jestem bardziej balladowa, ale na płycie będą też żywe kawałki. Mam już swój type na trzeciego singla. Płyta nie będzie cała smutna, bo ja taka nie jestem. "
“I'm more focused on ballads, but there will be lively tracks on the album too. I have already chosen my song for the third single. The album won't just be sad because I'm not one of those. "
Critical reception
Michał Michalak from Interia.pl gave the album 4 out of 10 stars. Pop ballads like "Leć" or "Bajka", which are based on the sounds of the piano, appear almost grotesque. In these titles she dramatizes, howls, vibrates, chokes and moans.
“W swoich podniosłych balladach, opartych przede wszystkim na dźwiękach instrumentów klawiszowych, wokalistka przesadza z ekspresją, sprowadzając ją do groteski. W utworach takich jak "Leć" czy "Bajka" Sylwia dramatyzuje, wyje, wibruje, dusi się, stęka, [...] “
The metaphors in the song "Imię Trawy" such as: "Ty chcesz w wazony wstawiać mnie / A ja jestem polą trawą / Garścią Zieleni, którą wiatr nazwał różą dla zabawy" also seem inconclusive.

The album reached number 29 in the Polish album charts the same week it was released. Even before it was released, the album received the gold record certified in Poland.
