Localization of Bavaria in Germany

The transmitter Günzburg (Birket) is a filling transmitter for radio. It is located in the Gewann Birket at the edge of the forest to the south-east and about three kilometers from downtown Günzburg. A free-standing concrete mast is used as an antenna carrier.

From here, the city of Günzburg and the surrounding area are supplied with the cross-border radio program Donau 3 FM .

Up until March 14, 2003, the local program Hitradio X from Günzburg was broadcast via this station . Due to the insolvency of Hitradio X, the program assignment was then transferred directly to Donau 3 FM by the Bavarian State Center for New Media .
