The transmitter Osnabrück-Ziegenbrink was a broadcasting station for radio ( UKW , MW ) and TV of the NWDR and later the NDR in Osnabrück on the mountain Ziegenbrink of the same name .

On September 29, 1948, trial and later regular operations began. The transmission was initially started on 1330 kHz. He used a 108-meter-high tubular steel mast as a transmission mast , which was insulated from the ground because it also served as a transmission antenna for MW. The transmitting antennas for VHF and TV were on this mast. The MW transmitter Osnabrück-Ziegenbrink was active on 1586 kHz with 5 kW power until 1970, the FM transmitter for NDR / WDR I on 92.4 MHz with 2 kW, NDR II on 89.2 MHz with 2 kW and NDR III on 98.8 MHz with 2 kW were still in operation in 1974.
