The Sengelsberg is a completely forested mountain about 4 km south of Mandern in the north Hessian district of Waldeck-Frankenberg .
The mountain belongs to the northeastern edge of the Hessenwald ( natural area 341.6, part of the Ostwaldecker edge depressions ). From its highest point, the Großer Sengelsberg ( 381.8 m above sea level ), an elongated saddle extends about 600 m in an easterly direction, which ends with the Kleiner Sengelsberg ( 362.3 m above sea level ).
From the Kleiner Sengelsberg to the north, the Stechenbach flows in a valley immediately east of Mandern into the Eder .
To the east of the Großer Sengelsberg lies the Mühlenberg ( 383 m above sea level ), to the south the Katzen ( 412.7 m above sea level ).
