Sennu Laine

Sennu Laine (* in Helsinki ) is a Finnish cellist.

She studied cello playing in Helsinki at the Sibelius Academy and in Stockholm at the Edsberg Institute. In 1994 she won first prize at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich.

She has been the first cellist of the Staatskapelle Berlin since 1992 . She is involved as a mentor for the violoncello .

She performed at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival under the direction of Daniel Barenboim and Kurt Sanderling and in collaboration with Lang Lang and Kolja Blacher .
