Seppo Vaihela

Seppo Juhani Vaihela (born March 1, 1953 in Pori , Finland ) is a Swedish sports official and former bandy and football player of Finnish origin .

Vaihela is the son of the Finnish national soccer player Jorma Vaihela , who moved to Sweden to IK Oddevold in 1954 . The family settled in Kungälv and Seppo Vaihela received Swedish citizenship.

Seppo Vaihela played football for the clubs IK Kongahälla and Ytterby IS . In the bandy he was active for the clubs IFK Kungälv and Ale-Surte BK . He also played in the Swedish national bandy team .

From 2002 to 2006 Vaihela was President of the Swedish Bandy Association . In addition, he was Vice President of the International Bandy Association for several years and temporarily led it for a few months in 2005. In 2006 he was elected to the board of IFK Göteborg . From 2007 he was also the club director here. In 2012 he resigned from IFK.
