Serams is a district with about 70 inhabitants belonging to the municipality of Zirkow on Rügen .

The village is located in the south-eastern part of the municipality. To the northeast lies the well-known Baltic Sea resort of Binz , northwest the district of Pantow , and east the famous Granitz hunting lodge . The Schmachter See is located north of the village . Bundesstraße 196 runs along the western edge of the village and L 29 leads south to Binz. There is a bus station on the Bundesstraße . The railway line of the Rasender Roland small train runs north of Serams , at which there is also a stop.

The Serams manor, built around 1900, is registered as a monument in the village . There are three prehistoric large stone graves in the area. To the northeast on the bike path to Binz is the foundling Großer Stein von Serams . There are various holiday apartments and a restaurant in the village.

Personalities

The theologian and author Karl Hermann Pahncke (1850–1912) was born in Serams .
