Sergei Alexandrowitsch Klimow ( Russian Сергей Александрович Климов ; born July 7, 1980 in Leningrad ) is a former Russian cyclist .

Career

Sergei Klimow was junior world champion in 1998 in the points race on the track . In the adult category , he won track cycling World Cup races in the team pursuit in 2002, 2003 and 2006 and in the points race in 2007. At the 2000 Olympic Games , he and his team finished eighth in the team pursuit.

On the road , Klimov won a stage of the Tour de Normandie in 2001 and one of the Five Rings of Moscow in 2013 . He competed in the Giro d'Italia in 2008 , 2009 and 2010 . He finished these tours on ranks 110, 137 and 94.
