Sergei Arsenowitsch Petrosyan ( Russian Сергей Арсенович Петросян , Armenian Սերգեյ Պետրոսյան; born June 7, 1988 in Baku , Azerbaijani Soviet Socialist Republic ; found dead on July 24, 2017 ) was a Russian weightlifter with Armenian roots.

Career

Sergei Petrosian celebrated his greatest successes at two European championships: in 2007 he won the gold medal in the weight class up to 62 kg with a performance of 289 kg, and in 2008 he repeated his success with 302 kg.
