Jay Francis Spearing (born November 25, 1988 in Wallasey ) is an English football player who is mainly used in midfield and is under contract with Blackpool FC .

Career

When he won the 2007 FA Youth Cup against Manchester City , Spearing was the Reds' Under-18 captain, although he missed much of the season due to a broken leg. In the summer of 2007 he received a professional contract with Liverpool. At the U-20 competition Torneo di Renate, he was named the best player. In the 2007/08 season he was part of the reserve team and won the National League with the team. He played his first professional game for the first team on December 9, 2008, when he came on as a substitute in a 3-1 victory in the UEFA Champions League against PSV Eindhoven . On March 22, 2010 it was awarded to Leicester City until the end of the season . On his fifth appearance in the Football League Championship on April 17, 2010, he scored his first professional goal in a 4-1 win over Watford FC .

On August 31, 2012, he was loaned to Bolton Wanderers for one year . In August 2013 he was firmly committed.
