Sergei Jefimowitsch Donskoi ( Russian Сергей Ефимович Донской ; born October 13, 1968 in Elektrostal ) is a Russian politician .

Life

Donskoi graduated from Gubkin University of Petroleum and Gas in 1992 . From 1992 to 1993 worked in the engineering office Gaspriborawtomatika , which developed microelectronic automation systems. His activity as a finance broker, analyst and head of finance departments in various companies from 1995 to 1998 was followed by a job as a consultant and later deputy head of the department for the preparation and implementation of proposals for the division of production. Subsequently, he became head of the Department of Preparation and Realization of PSAs in the Ministry of Fuels and Energy of the Russian Federation. From 2000 to 2001 Donskoi worked in the main administration for finance and investment affairs and in the main administration for corporate finances and investments of the Russian oil company LUKOIL . From 2001 to 2005 he headed a department of the Sarubeschneft mineral oil company . He continued his career in the Russian Ministry of the Environment from 2005 to 2008 as Director of the Department of Economics and Finance and from July 4, 2008 as Deputy Environment Minister. On June 27, 2011, Vladimir Putin appointed him general director of the state joint stock company Rosgeologija .

Since May 21, 2012 Donskoy has been Minister of the Environment in the cabinet of the government of the Russian Federation of Dmitri Anatolyevich Medvedev .
