Sergei Nikolajewitsch Yuschenkow
Sergei Nikolajewitsch Yuschenkow ( Russian Сергей Николаевич Юшенков ; born June 27, 1950 in Medvedkovo, Kalinin Oblast , † April 17, 2003 in Moscow ) was a Russian politician .
Yuschenkow was Minister of Information in Russia from 1993 to 1994, later a member of the Defense Committee of the Duma and chairman of the Liberal Russia party , which he a. a. with the deputy Vladimir Golovlev , who was shot in 2002 . He headed a commission that investigated the 1999 bombings on apartment buildings .
On April 17, 2003, he was shot dead by a stranger in front of his home.
