Sergei Valerjewitsch Sevostjanow ( Russian Сергей Валерьевич Севостьянов ; born July 24, 1980 in Angarsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Rubin Tyumen in the Vysschaja Hockey League since 2010 . His twin brother Mikhail is also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Sergei Sevostjanow began his career as a hockey player with HK Lada Tolyatti , for whom he was active in the Russian Super League from 1998 to 2006 . At the same time he played for ZSK WWS Samara between 1998 and 2000 . With Lada Tolyatti, the attacker was runner-up in the 2004/05 season. During the 2005/06 season he moved to their league rivals Chimik Moskovskaya Oblast , for whom he was on the ice for the following year and a half. For the 2007/08 season, the center signed with the reigning champion HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , with whom he won the IIHF European Champions Cup in 2008. In the summer of 2008 Sevostyanov moved to Amur Khabarovsk in the newly founded Continental Hockey League . After a year he joined his ex-club HK Lada Tolyatti for the 2009/10 season within the KHL.

Since the 2010/11 season , Sevostyanov has been playing for Rubin Tyumen in the new Russian second division, the Wysschaja Hockey League .
