Sergei Wladimirowitsch Kostarew ( Russian Серге́й Влади́мирович Ко́старев ; * March 25, 1966 ) is a former Soviet sword fencer .
successes
Sergei Kostarew became world champion with the team in Budapest in 1991 , in the individual competition he won the bronze medal. At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona he was part of the delegation of the United Team , with whose team he reached the semi-finals. There the team of the United Team Germany lost 7: 8. The subsequent battle for third place was won against France after an 8: 8 draw due to the better hit balance, so Kostarew received the bronze medal together with Pawel Kolobkow , Serhiy Kravchuk , Andrei Shuvalov and Valery Sakharevich .
