Sergei Wladimirowitsch Schnurow ( Russian Сергей Владимирович Шнуров ; emphasis: Sergéi Wladimírowitsch Schnúrow ; born April 13, 1973 in Leningrad , Soviet Union ) is a Russian musician, film music composer and actor. He is the singer and leader of the Leningrad ska band .

Life

In his childhood in Leningrad, today's Saint Petersburg, he played the violin . After school he began various studies at various universities, including civil engineering, but graduated in religion and philosophy. He worked as a truck driver, guard in kindergarten, glazier, blacksmith, interior designer, as a designer for an advertising agency and as an advertising director for the radio station "Modern". At the age of 18 he founded the rap group "Alkorepiza", then the techno project "Ucho Van Goga" (as "the ear of van Gogh"), and finally "Leningrad", which ultimately brought him widespread success. In 2004 he founded his own music label “Shnur'OK”, on which all “Leningrad” releases have appeared since then.

As an actor, he has worked in 15 productions so far (including in Guardian of the Day ) and had his own television show ("Schnur wokrug sweta").

His breakthrough as a composer of film music came with the soundtrack to the popular Russian road movieBumer ” from 2003. He also wrote the music for the continuation of the film (“Bumer. The Second Film”) and for “Guardian of the Day”.

He regularly appears on stage in a drunk state. According to Vladimir Kaminer , Schnurow poses in many interviews and talk shows as an intelligent young man who philosophizes about the taboos of our civilization that need to be broken, and generally about what is allowed and tolerated in democracy. He invokes the idealists of antiquity or the romantics of the Middle Ages, but always relativizes everything that has been said at the end with a short ironic-obscene remark. It has now graced the covers of magazines, including those of " Playboy ".

Until 2007 he was in a relationship with the Russian actress Oxana Akinschina .
