Sergio Souza , full name Sergio Sebastián Souza Pisano , (born May 7, 1985 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

At the beginning of his career, the 1.66-meter-tall offensive player Souza belonged to the reserve team from 2006 to mid-2007 and then to the professional team River Plate Montevideos until January 2010 . With the Montevideans, he played 37 games in the Primera División and scored 15 goals and two games each in the Copa Sudamericana in 2008 (one goal) and 2009 . In the Clausura 2010 he was loaned to the Montevideo Wanderers and came to eight first division appearances in which he scored one goal. After returning to River Plate Montevideo, he ran there in the Apertura 2010 - each personally goalless - in six other games of the top Uruguayan league and a game of the Copa Sudamericana 2010 . From mid-January 2011 he played on loan for Central Español . Twelve first division appearances (two goals) in the Clausura 2011 followed the participation in 23 games of the Segunda División . He hit the opposing goal 13 times. In January 2013 he joined CD Olmedo . The statistics show him five goals and 21 top division appearances with the Ecuadorians . In the Clausura 2013 he played five more first division matches as part of a renewed engagement with Central Español and was twice a goalscorer. In the second half of July 2013 he switched to TU Ambato . The Ecuadorian second division side has three goals in ten league games for him. At the end of April 2014, the Canadian Soccer Club signed him . There he scored two goals in five second division appearances. Within the league, he moved to Club Atlético Progreso in mid-September 2014 , which he left after scoring 19 league games in January 2016 in favor of the Rampla Juniors . At the Montevideo club, he played eight times (two goals) in the second-highest Uruguayan professional league in the 2016 Clausura. Since mid-July 2016 he has been part of the squad of the Salvadoran first division club Santa Tecla . So far (as of April 2, 2017) he has played 18 times in the league and scored three goals.
