Serhij Heorhijowytsch Walter ( Ukrainian Сергій Георгійович Вальтер ; born January 21, 1958 , † February 25, 2015 ) was a Ukrainian politician .

Life

Walter was mayor of Melitopol , but was dismissed from this post by court order in 2014. On February 25, 2015, he was found hanged in his garage by his wife. Investigations were underway against him for abuse of office, corruption and the formation of a criminal organization. He left a son and a daughter. Walter was a bearer of the Order of St. Vladimir 4th class.
