The Serpentine River is a river in the southwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
River course
The upper and middle reaches of the river lie in the western part of Lake Pedder , which was dammed at its western end at the Serpentine Dam . Through this reservoir, the Serpentine River is also connected to the Huon River , which flows through the eastern part of the reservoir. 3 km northwest of the dam, below Mount Sprent , the Serpentine River flows into the Gordon River , which has just left Lake Gordon .
