A serving trolley , also known as a dinette , coffee table or tea trolley , is a small, at least two-story shelf made of wood or steel on wheels or castors, which is used to place and transport dishes and food .

Serving trolleys made of wood can usually be moved on two rear wooden wheels and two small front steel wheels. Modern serving trolleys are made of steel and equipped with four small rubber wheels.
