Severino Casara

Severino Casara (born April 26, 1903 in Vicenza , † July 28, 1978 ibid) was an Italian mountaineer and documentary filmmaker .

Life

Casara was a journalist by training, soon he specialized in the Alps , where he emerged as a mountaineer and author from an early age. In 1947 he shot Il richiamo dell'Alpe spledente without any prior knowledge , which was followed by two more mountain films by 1957 . In addition, he created a large number of short films on his subject, which he made with considerable technical effort. As an author, he has written numerous specialist books.
