Shōgo Sakai ( Japanese 坂 井 将 吾 Sakai Shōgo ; born January 28, 1988 in Mie Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Sakai learned to play soccer on the school team at Yokkaichi Chuo Technical High School . He signed his first contract with Montedio Yamagata in 2006 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . In 2008 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League . For the club he completed 24 league games. Sakai was a coach at Omiya Ardija football schools in 2010 and 2011 . In 2012 he was assistant coach of the U15 and football school coach at Blaublitz Akita . In 2013 he was signed by Veertien Mie .
