Shana Sturla

Shana Jocette Sturla (* 1975 in New York , USA ) is an American toxicologist who teaches at ETH Zurich .

biography

Sturla studied chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley (BS, 1996) and then obtained a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (PhD, 2001). After completing her doctorate, she carried out research as a postdoctoral fellow at the Cancer Center of the University of Minnesota (2001-2004) and was an assistant professor at the University of Minnesota (2004-2009). In 2009 she moved to ETH Zurich, where she received an associate professorship in toxicology at the Department of Health and Technology. Shana J. Sturla has been a full professor of toxicology at ETH Zurich since 2016. Since 2018 she has been chief editor of the Chemical Research in Toxicology Journal of the American Chemical Society .
