Sharif Harir

Sharīf ʻAbd Allāh Ḥarīr (* before 1983 ) is an anthropologist and politician from northern Darfur in Sudan , who belongs to the Zaghawa .

Harir was the leader and mouthpiece of the Sudanese Liberation Army / Movement and Vice President of the National Democratic Alliance . According to Mahmood Mamdani, he is an important theoretician of the Darfur conflict . He has written numerous articles and books on this and other regional topics; Harir's best-known writings are Old-timers and new-comers from 1983 and Short-cut to decay from 1994.
