Sharleen Eugene Spiteri (born November 7, 1967 in Glasgow ) is a British musician and singer in the band Texas .
life and career
Spiteri grew up in her hometown. She worked as a hairdresser before founding the pop band Texas with Johnny McElhone in 1986 .
Spiteri composed several songs that can be heard in films: Say What You Want in The Booked Man (1997); Put Your Arms Around Me in Forever And Eternal (1998) or In Our Lifetime in Notting Hill (1999).
Spiteri can be heard on Rammstein's album Rosenrot (2005) in the duet Stirb nicht vor mir (Don't Die Before I Do) . It can also be heard on Roger Sanchez's album First Contact (2001) under the title Nothing 2 prove . This title was written by Sanchez and herself and her colleague McElhone.
In mid-2008 Spiteri's debut solo album Melody was released , from which All the Times I Cried was released as a single.
