Sharon Creech (born July 29, 1945 in South Euclid , Ohio , USA ) is an American writer.

Sharon Creech, born and raised in the USA, lived in Switzerland for about 2 years and in England for about 17 years . She studied English literature at Hiram College in Ohio, USA, and at George Mason University in Fairfax , Virginia , USA ( Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts ).

Sharon Creech is married with two grown children. Her husband Lyle Rigg heads Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey , USA, where the family moved in 1998. Sharon Creech writes adult novels, books for children and young people, poetry and short stories.
