Sharon Hampson

Sharon Hampson (born Sharon Trostin ; born March 31, 1943 in Toronto ) is a Canadian actress and singer.

Hampson was best known for the Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant Show , a musical comedy for children starring Lois Lilienstein and Bram Morrison , which ran from 1984 to 1988 as a television series in 64 episodes on the CBC . This was preceded by the film Sharon, Lois & Bram at Young People's Theater in 1982 . The trio went platinum in 1989 with the album Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant Show Record . Her Christmas special Candles, Snow and Misteltoe was nominated for a Gemini Award in 1995 for best children's program . The trio's second production was Skinnamarink TV , a 52-episode series that ran on CBC and The Learning Channel from 1998-99 . The accompanying album won a Juno Award for best children's album. Hampson was named a Member of the Order of Canada in 2002. She was married to singer Joe Hampson .
