Shay Doron (born April 1, 1985 in Ramat Hasharon , Hebrew שי דורון) is an Israeli basketball player .
life and career
Doron was born into a family of athletes - her mother Tamari was an Israeli national volleyball player, her father Yehuda decathlete - and began playing basketball at an early age. To increase her chances of a professional basketball career , she moved to New York and played successfully on the high school team of Christ The King RHS. She then played in the selection of the University of Maryland, College Park and was selected by the professional club New York Liberty in the 2007 WNBA Draft . Since 2011 she has been playing for the Israeli women's basketball record champion Elitzur Ramla.
